Start with one fork. Explore the others when you want a different tone. Follow the printed guide included with your set.

Listen to the tone.
Two short excerpts from our product video, with their recorded audio. See a weighted fork up close, then watch an unweighted fork being tapped.
Start with your volume low. Your speakers and the recording affect how the tone sounds. The striking pad shown in this clip is not the supplied resonator disc; your kit includes a mallet and resonator disc as pictured above.
Video transcript
“When you strike a tuning fork, it vibrates and creates a specific frequency and creates sound that then moves through the air.” [Cut to an unweighted fork being tapped; a ringing tone follows.]
- 01
Hold the stem
Choose a comfortable place to sit. Hold the fork by its narrow handle, leaving the two prongs free to vibrate.
- 02
Start gently
Use the supplied striking accessory as directed in the guide. Begin with a light tap and keep the sound at a comfortable level.
- 03
Listen as it fades
Give the tone your attention. Keep the fork away from your ear, let it fade, and pause before repeating.
Four labels. Two fork designs.
The number in Hz identifies the fork’s frequency. It is not a rating of strength or a promise of a health result.

A simple cue
to put the day down.
Hold the fork by its stem and use the supplied striking accessory according to the included instructions. A gentle tap creates vibration and sound. Listen as the tone fades, without holding it close to your ear. Keep the experience comfortable.
Sound instruments are not medical devices. We do not claim that a frequency treats a condition or changes your nervous system.

Detail view of the 128 Hz instrument, not the complete kit.

Tuning-fork customer feedback
A place in their day.
Selected feedback carried over from our earlier storefront. Individual experiences vary.
“Surprised by how much I use this. Thought it'd be gimmicky. It's genuinely calming. The 5 minutes I spend with it in the morning sets a different tone for my whole day.”
“I'm a musician so I'm picky about tone. These forks are clean. Genuine sustained resonance, no weird harmonic dissonance. Whoever tuned these knew what they were doing.”
“Love the product. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I wish the instructions explained the different frequencies a little more. Ended up googling it. Otherwise perfect.”
Wondering about the frequencies, too? See the four-fork guide above.

Contact thehushroot ↗What is a tuning fork?
A tuning fork is a metal instrument that vibrates when gently tapped, producing a tone. You can use that sound as a point of attention during a quiet pause or meditation. Different forks produce different pitches; the frequency label describes the vibration, not a promised health outcome.
Do I need an app or a subscription?
No. The tuning forks and singing bowl are physical sound instruments. They do not require charging, an app, or a subscription.
How do I choose?
Start with the 128 Hz set if you want a single fork. Choose the Harmonic set to explore a collection of tones. A Sound Bath Bowl adds a different sound to your ritual and can also be used on its own.
What comes with the complete kit?
Four tuning forks at 128, 136.1, 256 and 384 Hz, a mallet and a resonator disc, plus a leather roll case and printed guide. Harmonic and Evening are two ways to explore the same physical kit. The 128 Hz starter is a separate, smaller set.
Are all four forks weighted?
No. The 128 and 136.1 Hz forks have weighted tips. The 256 and 384 Hz forks have unweighted tips. Each complete kit contains all four.
Do I need more than one kit?
One kit contains the complete set and is enough to begin. Two- and three-kit options are for sharing or gifting complete sets; you do not need multiple kits to use the instruments.
What should I expect?
A hands-on sound experience and a reason to take a pause. How you experience it is personal. These products are not medical treatments, and we do not promise changes to sleep, pain, anxiety, or nervous-system function.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free. Orders usually take 1 business day to process, followed by an estimated 4–8 business days in transit. These are estimates rather than guaranteed arrival dates; destination, customs and carrier delays can affect timing. Contact info@thehushroot.com for help with your destination.
How do 30-day money-back returns work?
Contact us within 30 days of delivery to request a return. Approval is required before sending it back. Return all original items, accessories, and packaging; returned items are inspected before a refund is issued to the original payment method. For an item that arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us first. See the full return policy for conditions.
